(90+ points) Martin Franzen's 2021 Haardt Riesling offers a clear, pretty dense and mineral bouquet of just-ripe fruits and notes of crushed stones. Though not very aromatic, the nose is coolish, discreet and spicy, with lemon juice and zest aromas intermingled with iodine hints. Lush and round yet fresh and structured on the palate, this is a medium-bodied yet mouth-filling dry Riesling with fine grip and juicy lemon flavors on the well-concentrated finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork stopper. Tasted in December 2022. - Stephan Reinhardt
