The wonderful nose of summer flowers and candied orange pulls you into this concentrated and well-structured Chambolle-Musigny. Lots of savory and earthy complexity here. Still needs time due to the chalky tannins at the long finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.

(92-94 points) The crop consists of one double barrel from the previous vintage. A noble purple here, showing serious intent. Very interesting bouquet with some density, especially at the back of the palate, with a very good fruit-acid-tannin balance. Drink from 2026-2032.

(91-93 points) This is aromatically similar to the Baudes but as is typically the case, it's noticeably spicier. The highly seductive medium-bodied flavors possess a gorgeous mouthfeel along with a bit more minerality though not the same power, all wrapped in an even firmer, overtly austere and beautifully complex finale. Here too extended patience will be necessary as this is quite tightly wound.

(91-93 points) The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées (Domaine Louis Jadot) opens in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, orange zest, rose petals and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively, concentrated palate that's taut and structured, concluding with a penetrating, mineral finish. - WK

(91-93 points) The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru shows more reduction than the Les Baudes, and consequently, I find this warm and more difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, more sorbet-like than the Les Baudes and slightly candied towards the finish but without quite the same pedigree. However, it should still drink well for a number of years. -Neal Martin
