(97+ points) The 2021 Barbaresco Montestefano is a towering beauty. Today, the 2021 is much more closed than it was last year, so I would not dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. Potent yet finessed tannins enshroud a core of dark-toned fruit. There's real density and presence here. Hints of mocha, spice, new leather and incense sustain the long, beautifully resonant finish. This is such a gorgeous and complete wine. I can't wait to taste it again in a few years. -- Antonio Galloni
