This racy, elegant wine features bright aromas of ripe apple, mineral and hawthorn flowers. The texture is creamy, richer than some in this cool year, waxy and long. The characteristic tension of the vintage is present, but there is enough breadth and plump fruit on the finish to satisfy. Roulot protected his hectare of vines downslope from Vireuils from frost in 2021 with a wind turbine and candles, ensuring an almost average harvest.

(91-93 points) Pale lemon colour. First nose with a bit of reduction. Lean yet concentrated, with perfect balance in this Roulot style, kicks on to a brilliant chiselled finish. A little fresh lemon juice poured over the limestone. Drink from 2025-2030.

(91-93 points) The 2021 Meursault Les Luchets has a slightly more complex bouquet with apricot blossom and linseed tincturing the malic fruit. Very fine delineation. The palate is taut and fresh, with fine weight and very commendable concentration for the vintage, saline and persistent towards the finish. Excellent.

(90-92 points) The 2021 Meursault Luchets stands out this year, unwinding in the glass with aromas of lime zest, white flowers, freshly baked bread and bee pollen. Medium-bodied, satiny and racy, it's elegant and seamless, with a bright spine of acidity and a long, saline finish.
