90+ The vines for the Vosne-Romanée villages bottling from the Mugnerets generally come from vineyards down fairly low on the slope, with the biggest parcel that goes into this cuvée lying between the Maison de Jacqueline and the Route Nationale. Here, the frost damage was not extensive, so they have reasonable quantities of this lovely wine in 2021. The nose delivers a refined blend of raspberries, plums, Vosne spices, gamebird, a fine base of soil and a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and focused, with a lovely core, good transparency and grip, fine-grained tannins and a long, elegant and complex finish. Fine juice.
