The lieu à dit of la Colombière lies higher up on the slope in Vosne and was, consequently, more frost-damaged than the villages level parcels down by the road. Nevertheless, these sixty-five year-old vines weathered the storm and have turned out an excellent wine in this vintage. The wine delivers a complex and more black fruity aromatic constellation of black cherries, black plums, bonfire, spiced meats, dark soil tones, cedary oak and a lovely constellation of Vosne spice tones in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and pure, with a lovely core of fruit, tangy acids, excellent mineral drive and a long, complex and suavely tannic finish.
