(92-95 points) A fresh mid purple. The bouquet is very distinguished, not too ripe, the main fruit is raspberry but properly nuanced. As with all the Grivot wines this year it starts nicely and then swells to an extra dimension further back. Entirely red fruit with a little clean white pepper, very persistent. Fine. Drink from 2028-2036.

(91-94 points) A subtle if perceptible application of wood easily allows the markedly spicy plum and earth scents to be appreciated. The rich, delicious and caressing yet decidedly punchy middleweight flavors are also supported by relatively fine-grained tannins on the balanced, complex and lengthy finish. This is not super-dense but I very much like the mouthfeel and like the Chaumes, this should be reasonably approachable in its youth.

(92-94 points) The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru has a touch more fruit concentration on the nose than Grivot's other cuvées, maybe just a soupçon more exoticism. The palate is medium-bodied , edgy and tensile, a little more angular than the Pruliers at the moment yet with plenty of energy on the finish. Very classy.
