Once again there is a plethora of spice elements adding breadth to the aromas of plum, red cherry, crushed leaf and jasmine tea. The rich, concentrated and even more powerful broad-shouldered flavors flash good minerality on the youthfully austere, complex and equally lengthy finish that leaves no doubt of its potential to reward longer-term cellaring.

(90-92 points) he 2021 Richebourg Grand Cru, matured with 50% new oak, has quite a flattering bouquet with black plum, bilberry, and a pinch of white pepper, though it doesn't deliver the complexity you would find in a great growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with pretty firm tannins, slightly peppery. Like the Grands Echézeaux, it just seems content to tread water in the second half, rather than building on its opening. There is (again) a fairly bitter finish.
