In contrast to the preceding wines, a brooding nose only grudgingly gives up its aromas of essence of plum, red cherry, earth and background hint of oak where a lurking hint of crushed leaf character is also present. There is excellent mid-palate density to the solidly constructed, indeed even robust, flavors that display solid power on the balanced and lingering finale that is also youthfully austere. At least moderate patience will be required and is recommended.
