There is more evident minerality if not the same mid-palate density to the rich but not really generous medium weight flavors that possess an even more refined texture that carries over to the bone-dry, balanced and sneaky long finish. Note that this is sufficiently firm to easily repay a decade plus of keeping. This too is excellent.

The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a very pretty bouquet with hints of apple blossom and apricot yet underneath is the mineralité you seek from a noble vineyard like this. The palate is vibrant on the entry. There is a touch of reduction but it does not impede too much, allowing the finish to remain zesty and lively with tangy blood orange and ginger notes on the aftertaste. Very promising.
