Disgorged in December 2023 with a dosage of two grams per liter, Moussé’s 2020 Blanc de Noirs Terre d’Illite is composed of 80% Pinot Meunier and 20% Pinot Noir, grown on clay-rich soils where 80 centimeters of black clay overlay green clay. The wine bursts from the glass with aromas of apricot, brioche, pear and white peach, mingling with white flowers, blanched almond and a hint of mint. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, textural and elegantly muscular, with a crisp fruit core, vibrant acidity and a long, saline finish. - Kristaps Karklins
