96+ The 2020 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Auslese * (Golden Capsule) is the only sweet Auslese that was selected in this prestigious terroir in 2020, a year where Molitor didn't achieve the concentration and complexity he normally gets and aims for every year. The wine shows a savory and refreshing botrytis tone with ripe and concentrated fruit aromas intertwined with notes of lime and lemon juice, iodine and crushed stones. Very elegant and beautifully balanced, this is a honeyed and sweet yet very delicate and stimulating Auslese with great finesse and a filigreed structure. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 142 22 in July 2022. - SR
