The 2020 la Perrière is excellent chez Harmand and shows off the perfect ripeness that Philippe was able to attain in each and every one of his premier crus this year. The nose is deep, sappy and nascently complex, delivering a fine constellation of black cherries, fresh black raspberries, grilled meats, woodsmoke, dark chocolate, a beautiful base of black minerality and a nice touch of spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and deep and sappy at the core, with excellent soil signature, ripe, seamless tannins and great focus and balance on the long, very classy finish. First class juice.
