Perfumed cherry fruit, with floral notes and a perfect purity of fruit. The texture is supple and round. As winemaker Paul Delorme noted: 'All the work is in the fermentation, after that it's done, contrary to the whites.' This is blended from the lieux-dits Bas de Duresses and Grand Champs. The grapes are partially destemmed (30% whole-cluster) and fermented with a careful extraction prior to ageing in mostly used casks. (Drink between 2025-2040)

This is also aromatically very pretty with its more floral-suffused nose of red berry fruit coulis and discreet spice and warm earth nuances. There is excellent underlying tension to the well-detailed medium weight flavors that flash more evident minerality on the sneaky long finish that displays almost no rusticity, indeed this is really quite refined and particularly so for the appellation.
