(94-97 points) Pure lemon and lime. Masterful discretion here, restrained at first on the nose but shows an inkling of what is to follow. All about delicacy and detail, not too tangy, then the fruit swells on the palate, very nuanced, hard to imagine making this any better. Minerals and fresh lime notes appear at the back in the exceptionally persistent finish.

Jobard's 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is brilliant, wafting from the glass with aromas of Nashi pear, buttery pastry, white flowers, oatmeal and crisp stone fruits. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, it's satiny and seamless, with racy acids, terrific depth and tension and a long, penetrating finish. - WK

(92-94 points) While compositionally similar to the Charmes, this is notably spicier while offering a hint of exotic tea as well. The pure, energetic and strikingly textured middle weight flavors brim with both minerality and dry extract on the balanced, youthfully austere and stony finale. This impressively persistent and very stylish effort is a wine of finesse and it too should amply reward mid to perhaps even longer-term cellaring.

The 2020 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a subtle reduction on the nose that enhances the aromatics. It is well-defined, with more yellow fruit in situ, crushed stone and rosemary oil. The oak is very well integrated. The palate is energetic and tensile from the start, with the reduction just right. It is not a deep Genevrières, yet taut and linear, almost Puligny-like towards the sustained finish. Excellent, though it needs bottle age to work through the reduction.
