The 2019 Faurie de Souchard is fabulous, just as it was from barrel. There is a feeling of exuberance in the 2019 that is absolutely irresistible. Succulent dark cherry, mocha, cedar, tobacco, licorice, dried herbs and menthol are all amplified in the glass. A bright, juicy, classic Saint-Emilion with loads to love, the 2019 Château Faurie De Souchard sports a deep plum color to go with a great nose of black raspberries, mulberries, plums, spice box, dried flowers, and subtle oak. This all carries to a beautiful, medium to full-bodied, elegant wine revealing good density and length, building yet polished tannins, and a great finish. It's going to need 4-5 years of bottle age and have two decades of longevity.

Sweet fruit aromas on the nose, so welcoming. This has excellent impact, chewy tannins and sweet acidity that give this life and bounce. Good definition and overall depth with a nice cooling minty edge approaching the slightly austere but fresh finish. (Drink between 2024-2034)

Flowers, espresso beans, smoke, licorice, black and red fruits come alive on the nose as well as on the soft, round, plush, polished, vibrant, red berry packed palate.
