The 2019 Mourvèdre is dark and earthy in the glass, with masses of crushed black raspberry, wild herbs and ashen stone. It's silky in texture, engulfing the palate with depths of briary berry fruits and mineral tones. This finishes with admirable length, staining the palate in primary concentration and fine-grained tannin. Tart wild blueberry notes linger. The tannin management here is fantastic, as is the oak integration at 80% new French oak, 300 to 500-liter barrels.
