The 2018 Marienburg Felsterrasse did not ferment to legally dry but still reached 13% alcohol. The bouquet is deep, intense and flinty yet refined and elegant, with ripe fruit aromas intermixed with delicate slate notes. Round and intense yet refined and elegant on the palate, this is a rich and powerful, almost oily-textured yet pure, vital and finessed Riesling in the dry style. The 2018 is dense, intense and long, very complex, well-balanced and vibrantly fresh for this abnormally warm and dry vintage. Slightly bitter on the aftertaste. 13% alcohol.
