A blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 L'Esperance de Trotanoy is deep garnet-purple in color. It charges out of the gate with bold notions of baked plums, kirsch, and blueberry pie, plus suggestions of Chinese five spice, tilled soil, and unsmoked cigars. The full- bodied palate is rich and decadent, packed with black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers with a velvety texture, lead to a long and opulent finish on this delicious wine.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 L'Esperance de Trotanoy comes skipping out of the glass with fabulously open, youthful scents of blueberry preserves, Morello cherries, fruitcake and cinnamon stick with touches of menthol, chocolate box and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers lovely freshness, lifting the rich, spicy black and blue fruit layers to a long, seductively soft-textured finish. Scrumptious!- LPB
