The 2017 Purlieu Chardonnay Platt is silky, nuanced and totally classy, as the best wines from this Sonoma Coast site tend to be. Lemon confit, melon, white flowers and light tropical notes mingle together in this subtle, understated Chardonnay. A welcome hint of reduction on the finish adds character without being overpowering. This a promising first vintage of the Platt Chardonnay from Purlieu. -- Antonio Galloni
