Aged 18 months in just 10-15% new barrels, the 2017 Côte Rôtie Colline De Couzou is a more forward, juicy effort that has jammy blackberry fruit, notes of ground pepper, spice, and leafy herbs, medium to full body, and a plush, already hard to resist profile. Drink it over the coming decade or so.

Opaque ruby. Mineral-tinged aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, licorice and succulent flowers, along with hints of cracked pepper and cola. Sappy and energetic in style, offering juicy mulberry, cherry and floral pastille flavors underscored by a building mineral element.
