(91-93 points) The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Porrets-Saint-Georges 1er Cru comes from the domaine’s half-hectare of 70-year-old vines that are beginning piecemeal replanting. It has a clean, precise, floral bouquet, with blueberry tincturing the black fruit. The palate is silky-smooth on the entry, the 50% whole clusters cunningly disguised. The sensual, seductive, almost Vosne-like finish reveals a touch of orange sorbet. Superb. - Neal Martin

(90-92 points) Very generous wood and menthol elements fight somewhat with the plum, cassis and violet scents. There is better vibrancy to the muscular medium weight plus flavors that offer better depth on the solidly persistent and markedly firm finish. This is a bit finer than it usually is though there is still a touch of backend rusticity.
