This shows the ripeness and brightness of the 2015 vintage with firm, creamy tannins and lots of citrus character underneath the cherry and berry flavors. It’s medium-to full-bodied and grows on the palate. Need two to three years to soften. Try after 2024.

Leather, iron and almond flavors mingle with cherry and plum in this robust red. Dusty tannins render the finish compact for now, yet are not overly astringent, and a glimpse of fruit returns at the end. In a dumb phase. Best from 2025 through 2048. 2,000 cases made, 500 cases imported.

As with the 2016 Brunello, the 2015 Brunello Riserva is sourced from three areas of the Montalcino region, Montosoli, La Crociona and Castelverdelli. There are aromas of cassis, balsamic, tobacco, and tarry earth. The palate is mouth-filling, with ripe black cherry cola, lavender, and tea leaf, and building tannins on the finish. It was aged for 48 months in large French oak. Hold for 2-5 years and enjoy 2023-2032.
