Pale lemon straw, this has a really classy nose a lovely balance between the fruit and the oak. Very stylish as well on the attack, and continues across the palate with a lime reductive note at the very back. Great purity though. This will become a classic. DIAM D.

This is ripe, brimming with peach, lime, floral and pastry aromas and flavors, backed by vivid structure. In the end, this is harmonious, offering a racy profile, with an essence of lime blossom and stone on the aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2032. 169 cases imported. –BS

(92-94 points) In contrast to the relative expressiveness of most of the prior wines, this is much more reserved and only grudgingly reveals its aromas of honeysuckle, essence of pear and soft oak nuances. The caressing and very refined middle weight flavors possess a highly seductive mouth feel that also brims with dry extract while delivering excellent length on the beautifully complex and persistent finale that, like the Combettes, is unusually dry relative to what is common for the vintage. Class in a glass.

Another contender for the queen of the Puligny premier crus, opening with a beautiful bouquet of white peach, citrus, orange blossom and a subtle framing of new oak. On the palate the wine is glossy, full-bodied and very elegant indeed. There is lovely textural refinement and a deep, tight-knit core. This is pure, racy and long and should develop beautifully in the cellar.

The 2015 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Pucelles offers up a ripe but reticent nose of lemon cream, mandarin, yellow orchard fruit and apple blossom. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and the most ample of Leflaive's premier crus this year, with a glossily textural attack, good depth at the core and grand cru amplitude followed by a saline, tangy finish. In style, this Pucelles nods to neighboring Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, but it isn't quite as concentrated, and I'd expect it to offer more precocious appeal in its youth. - William Kelley

The 2015 Pucelles from Domaine Leflaive is also very pretty and stylish, but there is just a touch of almond on the backend of this wine on the palate that indicates that it is a touch deeper-pitched than the stellar Combettes this year. The nose is a very, very stylish blend of white peach, apple, orange zest, crème patissière, chalky soil tones, almond and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, pure and quite primary on the attack, with a generous core, good acids and grip and a very long, focused and complex finish. The closing note of almond and the slightly better backend lift in the Combettes this year gives it the very slight nod over this pretty Pucelles.
