The 2014 Plince opens in the glass with a seductive medley of concentrated red and blue fruit. This yields to undertones of dry violets, cedar and sweet tobacco before concluding with mineral and dry earth notes. Medium-bodied, this has good structure on which the aromatic profile carries through beautifully to the palate. Plince’s tannins are silky on the palate and its bright beam of acidity makes for a focused and long finish. This Pomerol is a nice wine to enjoy in its youth, but you could cellar it for 8-10+ years as well.
