The wine from this estate perched high above Château Angélus is tight and mineral. While the dark dense tannins are to the fore, it also has great fruits. The acidity and the crisp texture give the wine both its intensity and its potential. Drink from 2025.

Ripe and fleshy, with a direct beam of raspberry and black currant confiture framed by a solid graphite edge. Lots of tobacco and licorice snap details hang in the background. Should age well. Best from 2020 through 2030. 2,500 cases made.–JM

Darker cherries, tobacco, and white truffle notes define the 2014 Château Bellevue. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced on the palate, it has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel and solid depth. This ripe, textured, and mature Saint-Emilion will drink well over the coming 7-8 years, if not a decade. Drink 2025-2034.

Dark, opaque purple with shades of red towards the rim. This new release is round and robust with rich aromas of red and black fruit mixed with espresso and truffles, followed closely by chocolate and not so subtle hints of oak. The palate is medium to full bodied and has round tannins with the appropriate level of acidity to provide great lift from start to finish. Lavender and jasmine come through with black berry and raspberry on the long finish. This is ready to drink, but will easily last for 10-15 years.
