(90+ points) Good medium red. Complex, scented nose offers red berries, dark cherry, sage and white pepper. Juicy, spicy and quite brisk, with impressive inner-palate energy in the style of the vintage's better examples. Very firmly tannic but not at all dry. This has plenty of underlying density and finishes with excellent subtle length. Needs at least a few years of bottle aging. -- Stephen Tanzer
