"Composed of Grenache from Priorat, Rioja and Toro, Tempranillo from Rioja, and Carignan from Ribera del Duero and Carinyena, it was fermented in oak and aged ten months prior to release. A sensational effort, it reveals some toasty oak in the nose, but blackberry and black currant fruit as well as hints of licorice, truffles and spice box are also present in this full-bodied, ripe, deep, supple, velvety-textured, elegant, opulent, voluptuous, lusty red. If Dave Phinney can continue to achieve such high quality with his future cuvees, and keep such a high production level consistent, he has a major winner on his hands." -Robert Parker
