2010 Grosjean - Pinot Noir "Vigne Tzeriat" Vallee d'Aoste
"The Aosta Valley is home to Europe’s highest altitude vineyards. While temperatures are notably cool in this tiny winegrowing region that sits in the shadows of Mount Blanc, the vines benefit from extensive sun exposure, creating perfectly balanced wines. This is a bright and floral Pinot that is deeply layered with alternating notes of allspice, freshly tilled earth, black licorice and wild cherry. Hints of lavender and raspberry abound followed by warm notes of winter spice, anise and cardamom." -SFWTC Staff
