2010 Domaine Romain Collet - Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre
2010 Domaine Romain Collet, Chablis Montee de Tonnerre Premier Cru, White Burgundy, France.
One cuvee from one parcel with vines at 25 and 45 years, indigenous yeast throughout, zero oak––the tremendous pedigree of Montee de Tonnerre fill the room not just the glass.
Domaine Romain Collet Description
Not far from grand cru territory, Montée de Tonnerre is found on the right bank of the Serein and is optimally placed with southwest sun exposure. Hailing from the smallest vineyard of the three, it shows off all of the elements we love in Chablis: floral aromas, notes of crushed stone, and nervy acidity with a succulence that keeps you coming back for more! Both fermented and aged in small 228-L Burgundian barrels, this is perfect Chablis for the Chardonnay lover who appreciates a judicious use of oak.
