NV Carpene Malvolti - Prosecco Treviso
Prosecco is Italy’s most well-known sparkling wine, fermented in closed-top vats (known as the charmat method) with the Veneto’s famous Glera grape. Founder Antonio Carpène claims to be the first to introduce this sparkling wine to Italy in 1868, and the family has been a leader in the appellation ever since. Their vineyards are situated in a microclimate influenced by the convergence of warm Adriatic breezes and the cool winds funneling southward from the Alps, allowing for optimal grape ripeness, fresh acidity and deep aromatics. With such gorgeous and expressive notes of wildflower, honey, toasted almonds and Bosc pear, you may wonder why this costs as little as it does!
