2011 Bernard Baudry - Chinon "Les Grezeaux"
"The Baudrys are the most well-known for their celebrated cuvees of reds, made from Cabernet Franc. Their oldest parcel, Les Grezeaux, is composed of 65-year-old vines and ages in barrel for 12 months before release. The Baudrys prefer to bottle their reds unfined and unfiltered, an old-school vinification practice that allows for a deep expression of fruit. While rich in blackberries and violets, Les Grezeaux is also robust, earthy and muscular. Its Old World charm makes it an easy pairing for seasonal roasts, but you might also consider buying a case for future imbibing...Chinon is a great match for Thanksgiving turkey." -SFWTC Staff
