NV Bedrock - "Shebang" Old Vine Sixth Cuvee California
"Awarded 90 points by the Wine Advocate, the sixth edition of Shebang may very well be Peterson’s best effort to date. What makes it stand out, you ask? Well, for starters 92% of the fruit was sourced from vines with an age of 90+. Wonderfully concentrated and yet light on its feet (and dangerously delicious, we might add), this briery blend of Zinfandel, Carignan, Alicante Bouchet, and Syrah (plus too many other field grapes to name), is an absolute steal of a deal. Looking for a satisfying everyday red? Then look no further as this is your wine!" -SFWTC Staff
Notes: This is a delicious blend that is spicy and full bodied. It's a fun wine that is perfect for everyday drinking but also has some serious pedigree. The base for Shebang! comes 100+ year old vines from the Bedrock Vineyard and is a blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Sangiovese
Wine Advocate: 90 Points
"Shebang! is the appealing project of Morgan Twain Peterson, son of the long-time Ravenswood winemaker Joel Peterson. His objective is to fashion innovative, old vine cuvees that satisfy the most demanding wine enthusiasts. Doug Polaner is his name, and high quality wines in all price ranges is his game. I have been tasting with Polaner over a number of years, and these notes represent his very finest value selections." -Robert Parker
