2011 Sans Liege - "The Offering" Santa Barbara
"A great and lavish Rhone style red made from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and a dash of Viognier to drink young with ultra rich flavors and density, a super value as well!" -SFWTC Staff
"I’ve always been fond of Curt Schalchlin’s Sans Liege wines, and the “Offering” is no exception. One of my favorite wines coming out of Santa Barbara, this very traditional Rhone style red is made with Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and a small dash of Viognier (2%) as well. Not too heavy on the palate as some California GSM’s can be, it is beautifully texted, vibrant, and with the hint of Viognier gives it a sublime floral nose. Elegant and in limited production, it’s a good idea to grab a bottle while you can!" -Austin Saladin, SFWTC
"Made by Curt Schalchlin, these are all impressive wines that don’t hold back on flavor or richness, yet always stay beautifully drinkable and fresh."
