2011 Sans Liege - "Cotes du Coast" Paso Robles
"A great and lavish Rhone style red made from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and a dash of Viognier to drink young with ultra rich flavors and density, a super value as well!" -SFWTC Staff
Wine Advocate: 91 Points
"Starting off the whites and a blend of Viognier, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc, the 2011 Cotes du Coast is a ripe, voluptuous white that’s overflowing with richness and texture. Offering up notions of white flowers, grilled peaches, honey and brioche, this full-bodied, heady effort is made in a pedal-to-the-metal style that remains beautifully pure and clean. Drink it over the coming year or two Drink now-2014. Made by Curt Schalchlin, these are all impressive wines that don’t hold back on flavor or richness, yet always stay beautifully drinkable and fresh."
