2010 Ramey - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
"David Ramey is one of Napa's greatest winemakers. This UC Davis grad apprenticed in Bordeaux under the Moueix family, where he learned how to integrate Old World practices into his Napa vineyards. His Napa Cab is a blend of hillside and valley floor fruit--a quintessential representation of the appellation. Supple, textured and dark, with hints of graphite, mocha, and dark berry fruit, there is great aging potential to this wine. The Wine Advocate awarded it 94 points." -SFWTC Staff
Wine Advocate: 94 Points
"Ramey’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is a spherical wine with all of its elements in place. Mocha, espresso, blackberries, incense and graphite all come together in a wine that impresses for its exceptional overall balance. White flowers, cloves and asphalt all develop later, lending an element of exoticism that is simply compelling. The 2010 is a blend of valley floor and hillside fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2030."
