2008 Winderlea - Chardonnay Willamette Valley
In-Store Notes2008 Winderlea Chardonnay Willamette Valley, Oregon. 91Points, WA. "The 2008 Chardonnay is a 50-50 blend of Carabella (Chehalem) and Hyland (McMinnville-Coastal Range) vineyards. aged in 25% new oak and stainless steel for 11 months. Aromas of popcorn, pear, and spiced apple inform the nose of a concentrated, savory, spicy Chardonnay that offers excellent balance and length. It will continue to provide enjoyment for another 4-5 years. Transplanted Bostonians Bill Sweat and Donna Morris had the good sense to hire Robert Brittan (for more see Brittan Vineyards) to make their wines from one of the Willamette Valley’s finest terroirs."
