2004 Le Chiuse - Brunello di Montalcino
In-Store Notes2004 Gianni Brunelli Le Chiuse, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy. 93 Points, WA.
Wine Spectator: 91 Points
Very ripe plum and strawberry aromas follow through to a full body, with soft and silky tannins and a long finish. Sweet juicy fruit on the finish. Best after 2010. 1,200 cases made. –JS
Wine Advocate: 89 Points
The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino requires a considerable amount of time for its core of super-ripe fruit to emerge from under a wall of imposing tannins. This medium to full-bodied offering shows notable length on the palate. Suggestions of smoke, licorice, and minerals and leather linger on the potent close. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2024. -- Antonio Galloni
