jamessuckling.com, November 2023

The black olives and dark fruit come through on the nose with violets and wet earth. Full and very chunky and powerful. Yet it’s lively and vivid with excellent energy. Fantastic. Pure merlot. Leave it until 2030.

Decanter, January 2023

Lifted and vibrant on the nose, lovely fresh red and black fruit nuances. Beguiling and enjoyable at the same time, giving a seductive core of strawberry, red cherry and raspberry - with high acidity - alongside...

jebdunnuck.com, March 2023

The 2020 Château Latour A Pomerol showed brilliantly, with a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, yet incredibly elegant profile that's already impossible to resist. Black cherries, spicy oak, tobacco, camphor, and hints...

TheWineCellarInsider.com, March 2023

Rich, deep, dark, concentrated and packed with layers of black and red plums, chocolate, licorice, truffle and tobacco leaf in the nose, on the palate, this is where the action really takes place with its silky, full...

Wine Enthusiast,

(93-95 points) Barrel Sample. This fine estate has produced a richly perfumed, spicy wine that has a good mix of dark tannins and rich concentration. That promises that the wine will age well. ROGER VOSS

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2023

In the 2019 vintage, this estate was a highlight of the Mouiex portfolio, and the 2020 Latour à Pomerol is a terrific follow-up. Bursting with aromas of cherries, dark berries, licorice, black truffle and petroleum jelly...

The Wine Independent, March 2022

The 2020 Latour a Pomerol is 100% Merlot and has a deep garnet-purple color. Notions of cedar, mulberries, and fresh black plum waft from the glass, followed by hints of iron ore, wild sage, and Ceylon tea. The...

Vinous, February 2023

The 2020 Latour à Pomerol has retained a very similar bouquet to the one that I encountered from barrel with blackberry, loam and pencil box scents, perhaps one of the most Médocian noses that I have observed in this...

Wine Spectator, January 2023

Smolders with warm earth and paving stone aromas that seep out from the core of dark currant and blackberry preserves. Offers alder, licorice root and tobacco notes that fill in on the finish, where the fruit and earth...

Chateau Latour a Pomerol is one of the leading Bordeaux wine producers from the Pomerol appellation. Since 1962, Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix has farmed the property, bringing their usual care and expertise to both vineyard and cellar.

The vineyard, with an average age of 35 years, is characterized by its soil diversity. There is loamy soil around the chateau itself with more gravel and clay in the best blocks near the church within the village of Pomerol. The estate has 8 hectares planted, predominantly Merlot with a small amount of Cabernet Franc.

Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix, who own many other properties in both Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, including Magdelaine, Belair-Monange, La Fleur-Petrus, Lafleur-Gazin, Lagrange, Trotanoy, and Hosanna.

Between elegance, power and smoothness, the wines of Chateau Latour a Pomerol show a perfect balance.
