(91+ points) From vines with an average age of 40 years on calcareous marl soils, the 2017 Ried Czamillonberg Leutschach Sauvignon Blanc Czamilla offers a bright, fine and pure nose with flinty notes, sur lie and some kernel-oil notes. Very delicate on the palate, this is a persistently salty, well-structured yet pretty ripe Sauvignon (with 10% of Semillon) with good phenolic grip. Tasted in May 2019 from lot L-17 (which was bottled in early May 2018).- SR
