92+ The 2015 Taittinger “Brut Millésimé” is crafted this year from its customary blend of fifty percent chardonnay and fifty percent pinot noir. The wine offers up a lovely bouquet right out of the blocks, delivering scents of apple, pear, almond, bread dough, chalky soil tones and a topnote of spring flowers. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and complex, with fine depth at the core, good soil undertow and cut, elegant mousse and a long, well-balanced and still fairly youthful finish. This is already tasty, but it is still a young wine and I would be easily induced to tuck bottles away for another three to five years and really let them blossom with some additional aging. A fine vintage from Taittinger.
