"The one-third Auxerrois Zind-Humbrecht 2009 Pinot Blanc smells of fresh lemon, orange, and fennel. Bittersweet citrus zest and licorice impinge on a subtly creamy, lush palate, with sheer ripeness and high glycerin (despite the presence of only three grams residual sugar) lending a hint of sweetness to a soothing finish. While it might miss the mineral and floral dimensions of which this blend is capable, this 2009 is an infectiously delicious choice for the next several years."
