In a new approach to blending Zinfandel, XYZ has taken to mixing wines from zinfandel vines according to their age…they have a 10, 50 and 100 year old vine blend, and each one is not only tasty, but together they show the progression of concentration, acidity, etc. that can come from vines of various ages. The 10 year old is no slouch. Tangy red fruits with a touch of briar, this is a fine medium bodied Zinfandel that will go well with summer barbecue (especially steaks) and other warm weather fare.
