2010 Orsianna, Sauvignon Blanc, Redwood Valley. Redwood Valley is Mendocino County’s best-kept secret. It lies in the most northerly part of the county, tucked away among the ancient redwood trees and early morning fog. It is here, high above the headwaters of the Russian River where generations of Greek and Italian winemakers have turned the soils, producing wines of exceptional balance, delicacy and grace. Today, the region is best known for its old school style Zinfandels and its crisp and invigorating Sauvignon Blancs. Orsianna's 2010 Sauvignon captures the very essence of the region, harnessing all of the gorgeous melon and sweet citrus fruit that is typically found in whites from the Redwood Valley.
