2000 Gianfranco Bovio, Barolo Riserva "Bricco Parussi” La Morra, Piedmont. Castiglione Falletto's pinnacle, the hilltop ("bricco") vineyard planted in 1959. Helvitian soil high in iron yields the classic "fist in velvet" Nebbiolo. Tar-rose, Chambertin-like breed. Barely 450 cases for the globe. Superb drink at table. -Alan Sobczak
