2006 Forteto della Luja, Moscato Passito 375ml. Late harvest Moscato Bianco from the steep vineyards surrounding the Scaglione estate. Multiple passes are made to ensure only grapes affected by noble rot are selected. The grapes are left to dry on straw mats in the ancestral passito process and pressed gently with the 150+ year-old screw press. Fermented slowly in oak cask using the �mother yeast� from previous vintages, minimally clarified before being bottled, and held in the cellar to develop in bottle until release.
