A wonderful blend of Barbera and Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) that shows dynamic fruit, texture and balance, and a wine Robert Parker was said was like a Saint Emillon with fresh jammy berry fruit and elegance structure.
Run on solar power, this family owned and operated estate does everything in harmony with nature. Grapes are harvested by hand and come from organically grown estate-owned vineyards lovingly tended to by the Scaglione family. “Le Grive” is a wonderfully unique blend of 80% Barbera and 20% Pinot Noir. Aged in small oak barrel, the wine displays all of the forward briery fruit found in a fine Barbera but with the perfumed elegance, buoyant acidity and sweet spice notes typically found in the finest red Burgundies.
