Up until recently, the venerable estate of Dr. Deinhard had never been represented in the U.S. Thankfully, Michael Skurnik and Terry Theise have changed that. With a little over 30 hectares under his care, Deinhard is considered one of the Pfalz’s larger estates and it has a long and illustrious history that predates its current owners. This vineyard is one of the estate’s most prized, producing a Riesling of class and poise that is dripping with honeyed apricot, dense minerality, musky white flowers and kumquat preserves.
