"Wet stone and faintly yeasty, musty fermentative overtones mark the otherwise dark berry-, apple-, herb-, and resin-scented Donnhoff 2011 Kreuznacher Krotenpfuhl Riesling Kabinett. With the sense of buoyancy, metaphorical coolness, and impeccably judged sweetness that has come to characterize this bottling, we have luscious fruit, with subtle but invigoratingly insistent fruit skin and stone along with wafting anise-like herbal essence.
