The name ‘Minervois’ comes from the ancient city of Minerve, a stronghold built by the Romans and dedicated to the goddess Minerva. Since that time, many amphora shards and cellar remnants have been discovered on the property beneath the centuries old vineyards. Today, the Gourgazaud family tend to the land, producing a small collection of world-class wines that manage to marry the best of modern innovation with time-honored tradition.
